The Scottish Arms Food & Menu
About Our Food & Restaurant Goal
Arriving in Saint Louis in 1997, Alastair Nisbet, owner of The Arms was brought up with fantastic local ingredients. Being from Aberdeen, home of Angus beef and living along the banks of the River Dee which we claim has the best salmon in the world (of course we do!!) , the abundant supplies of pheasant, grouse, venison and fresh fish from the North Sea was wonderful so the goal was clear when opening The Scottish Arms in 2005.
A pub in Scotland is gathering place with honest food, honest drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Since opening, the menu has evolved, and over the last few years we
have got closer to our goal partnering with local farms, Hinkebein, Jones Heritae, Farrar Out, and E.I.E.I.O to name a few. Most of our produce comes from Mr. Greg Pusczek. - Greg the Grower with a farm across the river in Carlyle, Illinois.
Our heart will always lie in Scotland and we take our traditional pub fare as seriously as our more contemporary cuisine so our Fish n' Chips, house made Bangers and famous Scotch eggs, to name just a few, will be on offer year round.
Our seasonal product driven menu focusses on the purity and natural local ingredients available. Chef Hunter Dileo and his culinary team work very hard to source the freshest ingredients possible.
Everyday we all work hard to make your experience better than it was yesterday. You, after all are the reason we love what we do!!
Thank you so very much and we look forward to welcoming you.
